What to do before your tattoo session:

Avoid alcohol consumption
Try not to consume any alcohol or caffeine for 48 hours before your session. This is in order to reduce the risk of excessive bleeding.

Avoid taking painkillers
Blood thinning medication such as painkillers can cause excessive bleeding during tattoo sessions.

Stay hydrated
Make sure to drink plenty of water for at least 2-3 days before your session to ensure a more comfortable experience.

Prepare the skin
Begin moisturising your skin  2-3 times a day. Apply a little bit extra a few hours before your session.

Stay ahead of the swelling
To reduce the risk of excessive swelling, you can start to drink pineapple juice 1-2 days before the session. You can also start taking non-prescribed Bromelain supplements a day or two before your appointment. You can also take them 1-2 days after the tattoo as well to further help eliminate the swelling.

Numbing cream (optional)
You can use a numbing cream of your choice. Make sure do a patch test on a small area in case of an adverse reaction. Shave and clean your skin with alcohol or anti-bacterial soap before applying numbing cream. Apply a thick layer on the area that is going to be tattooed without rubbing cream in to your skin. Wrap it with a cling film 2-3 hrs before session. Make sure the cling film is not tight.

No damaged skin
If the area is sun burned, wounded or healing from an injury - we won’t be able to tattoo it.

Eat well
Have a good amount of sugar and a big meal just before your session - your body will require a lot of energy for the tattoo treatment.

Allergies
Always make sure to let us know in advance if you have any allergies.

Get plenty of rest
A good amount of sleep is very important. Make sure to give your body enough time to rest before your tattoo.
